On Thursday, 26th March, the British Chamber of Commerce in Spain was delighted to host, in conjunction with Yacht in Style, its 2026 Season Yacht Launch in Puerto Banús, bringing together senior members and guests for an evening of exclusive networking in a truly distinctive setting.

Held aboard the elegant Malex yacht, the event offered attendees a unique opportunity to connect while enjoying the vibrant setting of Puerto Banús port. The Chamber was pleased to welcome a strong turnout of key professionals from across the region, reflecting the continued engagement and momentum of the British-Spanish business community in Andalucía, particularly in Marbella and Malaga.

The evening began with opening remarks from Derek A. Langley, Regional Vice-President, who welcomed guests and shared an overview of the Chamber’s upcoming programme of events, and mentioned that (LinkedIn)  as well as recent activities, successes, and key priorities for the year ahead. Attendees were also provided with insights into the regional business landscape and the continued importance of British investment in Spain, particularly within Andalucía.

This was followed by remarks from Martyn Jupp, the owner of Malex Yacht, who addressed the audience with an introduction to the yacht and the bespoke services his company provides. In doing so, he also highlighted the yacht’s distinctive Italian maritime interior design, dating from the 1990s, characterised by rich wood finishes, polished detailing, and a focus on both craftsmanship and comfort. This design heritage offered guests a sense of timeless elegance on board, adding depth and atmosphere to the overall experience.

Following the presentations, the event transitioned into a lively networking session. Guests took full advantage of the unique setting to exchange ideas, strengthen existing relationships, and establish new business connections, creating a vibrant and engaging atmosphere throughout the evening.
